Sarah Murphy, Chief Executive Officer of iQuest & Business Post LIVE, launches SmartHealth – the health innovation and medtech platform

We are delighted to launch smarthealthnetwork.ie and the the first edition of SmartHealth Magazine.

What a challenging period it has been for the health and medtech industries. The onset of the Covid-19 pandemic rapidly accelerated digital transformation in the sector, both from a place of necessity and innovation.

We must now look to the future and how the industry will continue to develop and innovate, while continuing to tackle both the
ongoing sector challenges and capitalise on the emerging opportunities that present themselves.

It is in this context that iQuest is delighted to bring you this first edition of the highly-anticipated SmartHealth Magazine. The magazine will be published on a quarterly basis forming part of a health innovation and medtech publishing network across our new platform smarthealthnetwork.ie.

The SmartHealth Network has been built on two decades of quality leadership experience in the live event, summit and conference arenas through a connected and influential network created by iQuest and Business Post LIVE.  The National Health Summit is going into its 19th year and our Smart Health Summit will continue to inspire and engage as it goes into its fourth year in 2022.

The conversations that we lead and curate at our annual portfolio of events have identified a need for a
publication and network to discuss and champion innovation and technology within the industry.

Our first issue Transformation will delve into how Ireland is planning to transform its healthcare system into a world-class digital
powerhouse. We speak to the HSE’s Director of Digital Transformation Martin Curley about the Stay Left, Shift Left innovation strategy to improve health, create jobs and move Ireland towards sustainability.

This radical plan has the potential to create lasting change as we move towards a new world and this idea is investigated further in this issue’s cover feature looking at what the Metaverse means for healthcare and digital innovation in Ireland.

This year promises to be an exciting, creative and opportunity-filled year for the industry. We also look forward to seeing many of you in person at our upcoming events. The HealthTech Ireland Annual Conference will take place on Wednesday, May 25 at Croke Park in Dublin.

There are still places available at healthtechirelandconference.com and we would love to see you there.

Enjoy the first edition and this new online platform and we are excited to hear your feedback.
